About the Event

Presented with Build Women, HBSDealer's How Women Rise in Hardware created a dedicated program for women in hardware and home improvement. It sat within a wider trade show for retailers, vendors and other industry professionals, combining education with opportunities to discover products and connect with peers.

Build Women is Stefanie’s own program within Grit Blueprint.

What Stefanie Covered

Stefanie’s keynote addressed how people communicate their strengths and values, navigate obstacles and position themselves for leadership. The panel brought together Allison Flatjord, Carol Crystal and Christine VanOrmer to discuss challenges and leadership experiences in a male-dominated industry.

In the final session, Overcoming Behaviors That Hold You Back, Stefanie turned to habits that can restrict progress. Together, the presentations and moderated conversation connected personal visibility with the everyday decisions involved in building a career in hardware and home improvement.
